Our goal is to serve Bay County Florida in any way that we can! Our motivation comes from 1 Timothy 6:18: “Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.” This means that a healthy church is just as concerned with what happens outside its walls as it is on what happens inside on Sundays and Wednesdays.
Backpacks For Jesus
There are many children in Bay County who leave school on Friday and go to a home with hardly any food for them to eat throughout the weekend. Our church and many other local churches work hard to provide a food bag for as many of these children as possible each week. Currently, we are working with 5 elementary schools and one middle school to help these kids and their families are able to eat healthy meals.
Elevate Bay Mentoring Program
Our church is actively involved in mentoring children elementary schools every month through the Elevate Bay program. This is a time were volunteers read with kids, help them with their school work, and most importantly show them that they are cared for and valued. For more information please click on the logo below.
Throughout the school year, we make an effort to let teachers know that what they do is valued! We love our teachers and take every opportunity to celebrate what they do.
Over the last year, we have seen multiple families in our church volunteer to be foster homes for local children and teenagers. We have been even more blessed to see some of those children and students accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. For those who would like to help the foster children of Bay County please contact the church office and we can give you many ways to help encourage those families.
Center Of Hope At St. Andrews Baptist Church
Serving God’s ministry to help the poor, the needy, and the less fortunate, the Center of Hope is committed to the goal of giving food, clothing, and medical care without any bias or restrictions and to give ample opportunity that each person is offered the “Bread of Life.”
Panama City Rescue Mission
We partner with the Rescue Mission and their various ministries to both men and women. We are involved with the Bethel House, which is their ministry to women who are recovering from difficult life situations. We have also led Bible study groups and volunteer groups at the Mission.
Throughout the year we have a group of men who lead men in our local correctional facilities to know and follow Jesus through Bible studies. For information on this ministry please contact the church office at 850.265.2166.
Southern Baptist Cooperative Program
The Cooperative Program is Southern Baptists’ unified plan of giving through which cooperating Southern Baptist churches give a percentage of their undesignated receipts in support of their respective state convention and the Southern Baptist Convention missions and ministries.
Neverthirst Ministries believes water is essential for life and there are villages throughout Asia and Africa that need clean water. These villages also need Jesus. Never thirst combines the two in order to help these villages live healthy physical and spiritual lives. For only about $3,000 a village can have clean water and receive the Bible. Not only are our adults involved in this program but we have had a high school senior class sponsor a well, a middle school girl raise money for a well, and one of our high school students began a Neverthirst club in her high school to help raise money for even more clean water wells.
Operation Christmas Child
Our church goes all in with Operation Christmas Child! Every year we pack over 1500 shoe boxes for children all over the world. For more information on this great ministry please click on the logo below.
